The Sense of a Rifle

I have seen the frighten face
Fearful and fearless
The one who’s known for my pity grace
Ruffin…who’s mean and heartless

I have heard the Booms and Bams
From out of me
I have even felt the cold hands of my criminal
Gripping…and holding me

I’ve tasted the blood of my enemies
Dry and wet
But look at my country
Oh it’s not over yet!

I have started this Civil War
Which I’m not proud of
And I must finish I came to far
But look what I’ve become of…

A murder…all alone
But what if I weren’t a gun
Could I have taken back what I’ve done?
So this war would have never...begun .

McPherson Woods Battle Story

I no longer heard the beautiful birds
I heard vultures
Surrounding the dead bodies
Of Gettysburg

The foul in the air
Smother my sprouts
With blood everywhere
I just couldn’t get out

The action was starting to begin
Soldiers killing each other with harmful weapons
Laying above earth green grass and soil
I’ve seen enough time to cool them off

I begin to let them feel the breeze
Trying to blow the anger off them
Which makes it worst
They felt the wind and try to finish the war even quicker
I feel sad for those who fought here, on the battle field,
Killed and wounded, on the battle field,
I cry tears for those, on the battle field,
Hoping that one day there will be no more war, on this Battle field…
